Gretchen has a remarkable way of seeing things for more than what they are on the surface. She can dig deep and help you sort through feelings you didn’t even know you were feeling and has an awesome approach to all the “how to’s” at the end. Equus coaching is an incredible experience everyone should have. A truly beautiful way to explore a better understanding of ourselves and how we work on the inside. Very insightful. I feel like it’s a great way to get down to the nitty gritty of issues we may be facing. It’s an excellent way to sort through to the root of things we ourselves struggle to see. I received some great insight into feelings I have towards my relationships with my husband and myself. I am also not engaging in as many confrontations with my husband and feel he is able to sense that. I am now being kinder to myself and feeling less stress as a result. It matters to be true to myself and my feelings.
What an amazing experience! Truly a neat alternative to any type of therapy. At first I was a little hesitant as I struggle to express myself. However once I was in the round pen interacting with the horse, he immediately reflected back to me how I was feeling inside. The session then begin to flow and was magical! One thing I found to be true is that you have to be open and honest with yourself to get honest feedback from the horse. I now have an easier time grounding myself when I’m feeling overwhelmed and find myself going back to my Equus Experience using little bits that I took away from it and implementing ?them in my day-to-day life. I would recommend this experience to anyone who is seeking clarity.
Having worked with Gretchen for over a year, she became the wind behind my wings. She took over all of the administrative aspects of my business I was drowning with. She helped me set up structure and was stellar in implementation. She completely transformed the way I approached business and has helped me achieve milestones with my business that I did not know I could. “I loved my session with Gretchen! Since my session, I now have a change in my perspective. I’m able to do things differently and stick with it vs. going back to the same way that doesn’t serve me and prevents me from achieving the results I want. During my session, I was able to get immediate visual feedback from the horse. At one point the horse was pacing in the corner, he didn’t want to move from there. I was feeling frustrated. Then I shifted my perspective + energy, remembered what I wanted to do, and how I wanted to feel and was able to achieve the result I was after. Since my sessions with Gretchen, I now have a greater control over situations at work. I no longer let things get out of hand and I really think things through. I also discovered that it works best for me to not set such high goals for myself and even break the smaller goals down into smaller action steps. This allows me to achieve my goals more quickly. It relieves the feeling sensations of frustration and overwhelm. The immediate feedback from the horse was very neat to see. He picked up on my emotions right away. This I’ll never forget! I was so excited for my Equus session with Gretchen! I grew up with horses and was thrilled to interact with them again. During my session, Gretchen was fully present the entire time and was always right there with me. I really felt heard and safe. My greatest takeaway was the understanding that when I start to feel a sense of overwhelm, I need to pause and ground myself. Allow myself to physically and mentally determine where it’s coming from and then address it. I am now able to take this grounding technique with me in every aspect of my everyday life.
Prior to my session with Gretchen, I wasn’t aware of how beneficial it was to really pause and look within myself. With the questions Gretchen asked, I was able to easily identify the areas in my life where I needed and wanted more. I wanted to feel cared for, loved, appreciated and to know that I was doing all that I could. With the help of Gretchen’s accountability, I was able to follow through with one of my action items and the reward from it has been a blessing. Continued reflection is now a part of my daily routine.
